Monuments understands the importance of creating confidence in our students by enhancing their ability to add value and relevancy to the world around them. This required us to revolutionize the way we teach our students. Progressive Education helps our students find roots in their present experience. Providing genuine real-world experiences is the heart of our Progressive Education program.
We created an ideal “space” where opportunities to create, craft, engineer, and develop projects are limitless. As students begin to hone and master required knowledge and skills necessary, internship/apprenticeship opportunities will be available for each young man. Our education program is tailored to ensure the success in professional development of each young man.
Tracks are structured around the student’s readiness to learn. This allows each student to move forward at their own pace. Developing competencies and transfer of training is the objective of each track Monuments offers. Our classrooms and workshops provide physical and psychological fidelity to assist in the transferring of knowledge and skills the student has learned.
Designed to empower students with confidence and competencies to think and create using rapid prototyping technology. Projects are based on learning the authentic application of computer-aided-design and computer-aided-manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software. The objective is for students to develop their idea visually so it can be transferred into data using software.
The data is translated into the latest fabrication technologies such as 3D printing and laser engraving to produce the prototype using raw materials. This is what empowers our students with the ability to turn their ideas into a reality.
Outdoor Recreation & Leadership
Students with a keen desire for adventure tend to gravitate to this track. It provides a strong foundation in outdoor technical and interpersonal skills required by outdoor occupations and recreation professionals. The focus is to develop leadership competencies while promoting safe outdoor practices.
Activities are not limited to rock climbing, rappelling, canyoneering, kayaking, hiking, backpacking, and fishing. Activities teach students the theories of leadership, Wilderness First Aid, risk management, group dynamics, proper use and maintenance outdoor equipment, and principles of outdoor guiding.
UAV Design & Aviation
This program was developed to introduce students to the increased job demands within the growing industry of UAV aviation. Those passionate in technology, robotics and automation have the opportunity to design and build their very own UAV drone. Students that meet the requirements will also be able to obtain an FAA License required by industry professionals.
This track provides a preeminent “human-horse experience”. This process deepens students understanding of themselves required to master the basic principles of Horsemanship. Safety and knowledge set the foundation as students establish how to communicate effectively, recognize behavioral signals, effects of the stress-response system, proper grooming, riding, and training techniques. These practices provide students with the knowledge and skills to pursue a career path in equestrian trades.
